LINE SHEET PROJECT
In our third year, we are taught how to create professional, industry quality line sheets. Here we were tasked to create line sheets based on our second-year couture designs.
GLOBAL CASE STUDY
We are given a global brand to research. We then have to establish whether the brand has a good global footprint and if it is sustainable or has a chance to become largely sustainable. I was given the Italian brand, Freddy Jeans.
TARGET MARKET ANALYSIS
We had to do an in-depth research project on the Target Market we designed our collection for. In this project, we had to elaborate on our customer base, competitors, price point categories, and different archetypes.
CAD MARKERS & CUT PLANS
We were taught how to use CAD to ensure that you save the optimum amount of fabric when you do cut plans for factories.
CAD GRADING
We were taught how to use CAD to do grading for commercial patterns.
MEN'S TAILORING STORYBOARD
In our third year, we had to create a storyboard for a men's tailored suit that we then had to make. For my design, I chose the classic, loose fit style suit that was popular in the 1920s.
FASHION HISTORY
In our third-year fashion history report, we were given a specific era in which we had to research and through pictures show how fashion evolved. I was given the 1990s.
FASHIONLYMPICS
Once a year students get together to compete in sports and have some fun.
TECH PACK PROJECT
In this Tech Pack Project, we are tasked to compile a complete tech pack for a garment as per industry standard. This Tech Pack has to be precise, functional and easy to understand.
